Warranty policy

Warranty support may extend up to five years on qualifying parts. Coverage depends on the exact part and is defined by its written warranty documents.

These pages explain general website and store practices. Your written quote, order confirmation, and part-specific warranty documents identify the terms for a particular purchase. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. This information is not legal advice.

1. Eligibility and coverage period

Warranty support may be available for up to five years on qualifying parts. “Up to five years” is a maximum advertised period, not a promise that every part carries a five-year warranty. Eligibility, duration, and coverage can vary by part and order. The part-specific written warranty document controls; request and review it before you authorize a purchase.

If written warranty terms are not included with the quote, ask for them before purchase. Do not rely on a general website statement to determine the coverage for a particular part.

2. Details to review before purchase

Warranty documents can differ based on the component and order. Ask the parts team to identify the terms that apply to your part, including:

  • The exact part and components covered, and the coverage start date and duration.
  • Any time or mileage limits, and how mileage is measured.
  • Whether parts, labor, diagnosis, towing, rental vehicles, or other costs are included or excluded.
  • Whether a particular installer, installation procedure, fluid, maintenance step, or record is required.
  • Any exclusions, claim notice deadlines, inspection requirements, and the person or business that handles claims.
  • Who pays shipping or other costs if a covered issue is reported.

3. Installation and documentation

Before installation, compare the part and vehicle information with the order documents and ask about any preparation or installation requirements. Keep the invoice, warranty document, installer details, and maintenance or service records. This page does not create a universal installer requirement or warranty exclusion; the written warranty document states the conditions that apply to your part.

4. If you think there may be a warranty issue

Contact the parts team promptly and follow the claim instructions in your warranty document. Have your order or invoice number, vehicle information, installation date, current mileage, a description of the issue, and any relevant records or photos available. The team may ask for additional information or an inspection to understand the issue.

If continued operation could cause more damage or create a safety risk, stop using the vehicle where reasonably possible and seek qualified assistance. Before disassembling the part, shipping it, or authorizing work for which you expect reimbursement, ask the team what steps the written warranty requires and obtain any needed instructions in writing. This page does not promise coverage for a particular repair or expense.

5. Resolution and expenses

The applicable warranty document describes the available remedy, any inspection or return process, and which expenses may be covered. Do not assume that labor, towing, diagnostics, rental costs, or other incidental expenses are included unless the written terms say so. The terms for one part or order do not automatically apply to another.

6. Other rights and questions

Nothing in this page or a warranty document limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. For written warranty terms or help with an existing claim, call (305) 564-4854 Monday–Saturday or email info@secondlifeautopartsllc.com. Include your order number when asking about a purchase.
